Who is eligible for this plate?
Any person who has lost the use of one or both
legs, one or both arms or who is blind or whose
ability to walk is impaired. Also any agency or
organization which transports handicapped persons
described in KRS
186.042 as part of the service provided by the
agency or organization.

Steps Required:
Request the Handicapped Parking plate at the County
Clerk's office. Provide documentation detailing
handicap, if requested.

Remarks:
This plate may be issued to any 6,000 lb.
commercial truck or passenger vehicle owned, leased
or provided by an employer. Also, one (1) handicapped
parking placard may be issued to this person for
an $8.00 fee. Any person who does not have a veteran
or parking plate may obtain two (2) handicapped
parking placards, the first for $8.00 and the
second for $4.00. This type of plate is issued
every five years, and will be replaced in the
year 2003 and every 5th year after.
